Can I book with you direct?
We take bookings for all our tours. For hotel bookings, we have good relationships with all our History Collection accommodation partners, who prefer visitors to book with them directly. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions before your arrival, which means they can ensure you have a perfect stay, handling any specific requests you may have, in time for your arrival.

When do I pay for my stay at a British History Breaks hotel?
Payment is usually settled at the hotel directly either on arrival or upon departure, depending on the hotel policy. Some hotels may take a deposit to secure your booking prior to your arrival.

What do I do if I need to cancel my booking?
Every hotel has its own cancellation policy. Please check the hotel cancellation policy at the time of booking.

Can I leave a review following my stay at one of your hotels?
British History Breaks is always interested to hear from its customers, however we only publish authentic reviews which have been written in the hotel guestbook. This is to ensure that all reviews on the site are genuine.

Are the rates quoted the exact rates that we will find when we book direct?
Rates quotes are ‘per room per night’ for British History Breaks’ recommended rooms. You may find better value rooms available when you go through to the hotel to book.

Who should I contact if there is anything I am not happy with anything during my stay?
All our hotels strive to give you the best service and we visit each hotel at least once every year to ensure the standard is at a premium level. If there is anything you are dissatisfied with during your stay, it is important that you speak to a member of staff so they can address any issues and ensure the remainder of your stay is perfect. If the member of staff you speak to does not address the issue, please ask to speak to the hotel manager. Following your visit, if there is something you are still unhappy with please contact us and we shall follow up with the hotel directly.
